About Yigo
What is Yigo?
Yigo is a free search engine for 3D printable models. It searches models from several sites at once, so you don’t have to visit each one, and every result links to the model’s own page, where you download it.
Is Yigo free?
Yes. There are no accounts, no ads and nothing to pay. Some models on other sites cost money: the Free and Paid labels, and the Price filter, show which.
Which sites does Yigo search?
Thingiverse, Cults3D and Creality Cloud. Yigo only adds a site when it can do so the way that site allows: through its official API, or by reading only the pages its robots.txt permits.
Why aren’t Printables and MakerWorld included?
Those sites block automated access, so Yigo leaves them out until they give permission. We’ve asked, and they’ll be added if they agree.
Does Yigo host or sell model files?
No. Yigo shows a model’s title, tags, picture and link, and where its site publishes them, its price, publish date and number of likes. The files, full description and comments stay on the model’s own site.
Does Yigo track me?
No. Yigo counts totals, such as how many searches were made each day, but never who made them, and it sets no cookies for visitors. The privacy policy lists everything it keeps.
Finding models
I don’t know what I want. Where do I start?
Scroll down the home page: the gallery shows popular models at a glance, and its tabs (Toys & games, Animals, Home, Tools and more) narrow it to one kind of model. The Feed shows one model per screen, to scroll through like short videos.
How does search work?
Yigo matches your words the way classic search engines do, with no AI. Rare words count for more than common ones, so in “articulated skeleton frog” the frogs matter most. Results with all your words, close together in the title, come first, and results that don’t really match are left out rather than padding the page.
Why did my search find nothing?
Check the spelling, use fewer or more general words (“dragon” rather than “red dragon with big wings”), or try another name for the same thing. Yigo also fixes small typos by itself and tells you when it has.
Can I see only free models?
Yes: after searching, set Price to Free. Creality Cloud doesn’t say whether its models are free, so its models are left out whenever you filter by price.
What do the sort options do?
Best match puts the closest matches first. Most popular puts the models with the most likes on their own site first, each compared with the other models from its site. Newest and Oldest use the date the model was published.
The feed, favorites and “For you”
What is the feed?
One model per screen, which you move through by swiping, scrolling or with the arrow keys. Each has a Favorite button and a link to its own site. There are no comments or likes, and nothing moves or plays by itself.
Where are my favorites saved?
In your browser only. There are no accounts, so they aren’t shared between your devices, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.
How does Yigo know what I like?
From what you search, open, save and look at for longer, worked out in your own browser and never sent to Yigo. It uses that to pick your feed and the home page’s “For you”. You can see what it has learned, delete it or turn it off on the Favorites page, and the privacy policy explains it in full.
Downloading and printing
How do I download a model?
Open it on its own site with the “Open in …” button, and download it there. Some sites ask you to sign in first, and paid models are bought there.
Can I sell what I print?
It depends on the license the designer chose, shown on the model’s page. Some licenses don’t allow selling prints or changing the model, so check before you sell or share.
A link doesn’t work any more. What happened?
The designer may have removed the model or made it private. Yigo checks its links regularly and removes models that are gone. You can also email us the link and we’ll remove it.
Converting 3D files
Can I convert a 3D file to another format?
Yes, on the Convert page: open a GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX or 3MF file, choose its size and download it as STL, 3MF, GLB, glTF, OBJ, FBX, PLY or USDZ. It all happens in your browser, so your file is never uploaded.
For designers, site owners and AI
How do I get my model removed from Yigo?
Email the link to yigo@kvchub.com. We’ll remove it and stop it from being added again.
Can my site be added?
Email us. YigoBot, Yigo’s crawler, identifies itself, follows robots.txt and goes slowly, and you can keep it away at any time, as the notes for site owners explain.
Can AI assistants and apps use Yigo?
Yes. AI assistants and apps are welcome to search Yigo for the people using them. yigo.kvchub.com/llms.txt explains how, including a version of search that programs can read. Please link to each model’s own page, search for one thing at a time rather than copying the catalogue, and follow the terms of use.
